Out of Hours
After office hours and at weekends and Bank Holidays, the Out Of Hours Service for emergencies can be contacted by ringing 0845 3458995.

Urgent Appointments
We will see people with urgent appointments the same day and, we keep a proportion of appointments un-booked for this purpose.  If you call and request an urgent appointment, we will arrange for one of our practice nurses to call you back as soon as possible.  It may be possible for the nurse to deal with your complaint over the 'phone, or for you to have appointment with the nurse.  If the nurse cannot deal with your problem, she will book you in to see a GP.

Telephone Advice
If you need telephone advice from your doctor please leave your name and your telephone number and the doctor will return your call as soon as they are able to. 

FLU ALERT
If you are suffering from flu-like symptoms the advice is to stay at home to avoid spreading the virus and contact your GP by telephone.

prescriptionsIf the doctor has authorised for certain medicines to be available to you on a regular basis, further supplies can be obtained in one of the following ways:

  • Posting or bringing your slip to the surgery allowing us a minimum of 2 working days to process your request before collecting from the dispensary (or on Thursday afternoon only, - our branch surgery at Southmoor Village Hall). The order slip is the sheet which dispensary gives you with your tablets. Please tick the medicines you need and indicate which dispensary/pharmacy you would like to collect from.
  • Telephoning the surgery (Mon – Fri 11am – 4pm) and reading your order over the phone. Please have your order slip beside you when telephoning to make sure we have all the information we need to issue your medication correctly. Please give us a minimum of 2 working days to process your order.
  • Online via the form below
  • Faxing your order slip to the surgery on 01367 245425 allowing us a minimum of 2 working days before trying to collect.


POINTS TO REMEMBER

To process prescription requests safely and accurately we need a minimum of 2 working days notice. Don’t forget to order before running out! Use your re-order slip.

Only those medicines listed on it are available to you automatically. Any other requests have to be reviewed by the doctor who knows you best.

It is your responsibility to make sure you have a supply of the medicines you need. Please use the system responsibly.
