Appointments

blue_calendarCan be made with the doctors or the practice nurses from 8:30am onwards. At lunchtime, the telephone is diverted for emergency calls. Appointments are usually for 10 minutes. Please be on time for your appointment as we aim not to keep you waiting. If you know you will need more than 10 minutes, please ask for a longer appointment when booking.

We will see people with urgent appointments the same day and, we keep a proportion of appointments un-booked for this purpose.  If you call and request an urgent appointment, we will arrange for one of our practice nurses to call you back as soon as possible.  It may be possible for the nurse to deal with your medical issue over the 'phone, or for you to have an appointment with the nurse.  If the nurse cannot deal with your problem, she will book you in to see a GP.  We can only discuss one acute problem during these appointments, so please do not use these appointments for minor or long standing problems.

We aim to offer a routine appointment with a doctor within 48 hours, but we will not always be able to offer you an appointment with the doctor of your choice so quickly.
