- Cervical smears – recommended for all women between the ages of 25 – 65 who have been sexually active

Giving up smoking & Nicotine replacement therapy - Diet & weight reduction for the clinically obese
- Counselling service – available through your doctor

- Continence clinic – provided by the District Nurses
- Midwife – the midwife consults in the practice on Tuesday mornings. For an appointment please call 01367 240087
- Mammograms – 3 yearly for women between 50 and 64. A mobile screening unit visits the area. The screening unit automatically sends out appointments to all eligible women in our practice
Telephone Advice
If you need telephone advice from your doctor please leave your name and your telephone number and the doctor will return your call as soon as they are able to.
Consultant Clinic
The following consultant visits the Medical Centre on a monthly basis: Mr D Williamson – Orthopaedics Appointments are made by referral from your doctor
Non NHS Services
The signing of various forms and certain examinations such as: pre-employment, HGV, taxi licence and sports medicals are not covered by the NHS and a fee is usually payable. The reception staff will be able to advise you and make appointments for medicals.
Sickness certificates
We cannot issue them for the first 6 days of an illness – please ask for a self-certification form. Certificates cannot be backdated. If you have been in hospital or are having continuing outpatient care you will not necessarily need to be seen by the GP for us to issue a certificate, - please just telephone to request one.
